Foam rollers are cylindrical pieces of equipment that can be used to massage your muscles, similar to a tennis ball. While some may only use it as an accessory for stretching and/or yoga classes, others choose to incorporate them into everyday life by rolling their sore muscles after workouts and activities that cause pain or stiffness in the body. If you’re still on the fence about whether or not foam rolling is right for you, here are some reasons why it might be worth a try:

A foam roller is a cylindrical rod made of dense foam with ridges on the surface, which provides a deep muscle massage when rolled over your back or limbs.
It’s also known as myofascial release (MFR), which means releasing muscle tightness through gentle pressure applied by your hands or feet against certain areas of your body, like your neck and legs. During MFR, you roll over a foam roller while lying on it lengthwise until you find an area that hurts—this could be anywhere from 5 seconds to several minutes depending on how long you hold each position before moving along again.
Basically, I can’t live without foam rollers anymore.
I love that foam rollers are cheap, easy to use and super effective. I’ve been using them for about a year now, and I cannot believe how much they have helped me recover from workouts and feel better in general.
